In 2006 my friend Patrick Wood committed suicide in Germany. I wrote a song about it and teamed up with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to spread the word about depression and suicide awareness. We raised a lot of money for them on tour and they helped me produce my video for “Twenty-Three”.
