This is how I like to set up remote podcasting recording. I am sending you this because we are planning on doing a podcast together! Yay! Here is how I like to do it and have found we’ll get the best results:
(a) You will be talking to me on headphones and your device via a video chat through Skype / FaceTime etc. (You will hear me but not record me. I will hear you and not record you, just my questions.)
(b) Concurrently, you’ll be recording your part of the conversation into a nice mic into your D.A.W. (digital audio workstation), solo vocal. (My part won’t be picked up because you will only hear me in your headphones, you won’t be recording me.)
(c) When we are done, please send me a WAV or AIFF of your solo-ed answers and I will sync the conversations. Visual guide:
